Origination & Underwriting

With BlitzDocs®, origination and underwriting is simplified by removing the mounds of paper from the desk and replacing them with an efficient digital alternative. At the first step of loan processing, origination, paper is made electronic. From this point forward, the other parties can utilize the eFolder to communicate, share and perform their relevant function.

Designed to work the way the industry works, BlitzDocs uses action sets that trigger very specific rules and/or actions to ensure the system works according to your processes and policies.

Paperless Origination

Originators, loan officers and/or processors create an electronic loan folder™ (“eFolder”) and define the relevant information for this folder including mortgage number, loan status and applicant name. Then, the originator uploads origination documents into the eFolder by either faxing, scanning, uploading or integrating with their LOS/POS system.

A standard and advanced document splitter capability enhances the originator’s experience by enabling full document manipulation and the ability to split, rotate, re-order and index PDF files.

Once all required documents are in the appropriate folder, the originator completes a workflow process and submits the loan to the lender – initiating the collaborative aspect of the solution by sending a notification to the lender. Once the originator’s workflow process is complete, the system automatically knows that the originator is no longer able to change or delete documents from the eFolder.

Image-Based Underwriting

Upon notification that an eFolder has been created within BlitzDocs, underwriters can immediately access loan documents. Underwriters can place conditions or “stipulations” on the eFolder and are automatically notified when these conditions are met by the originator, eliminating the need for follow-up calls.

Typically, underwriters will use dual monitors to view their underwriting system and BlitzDocs simultaneously, creating a high-tech, efficient work environment that improves productivity and loan turnaround time.
