Advectis Announces the Addition of QC-MAC to the BlitzDocs® Certified Provider Program

Quality control firm latest provider in the certification program

ATLANTA, Nov. 17, 2004 - Advectis, a provider of the most widely-used solution for electronic mortgage document collaboration, announced the addition of QC-MAC to its BlitzDocs Certified Quality Control Program. The new partner certification program allows providers of quality control (QC) services to certify to their lender customers that they are fully trained and prepared to deliver those services via the BlitzDocs solution.

“We created the BlitzDocs Certified Provider Program as a service to lenders,” said Greg Smith, president and chief executive officer of Advectis, Inc. “Currently, we have more than 22 Lenders, including four top 20 lenders, who are deploying BlitzDocs technology in their origination and underwriting operations. Many of these lenders are required to perform quality control on a number of their loans and they frequently outsource that to companies such as QC-MAC. It’s important to those lenders that their QC providers are certified to deliver their services by accessing, viewing, and updating the BlitzDocs collaborative electronic loan folder containing images of the loan documents. We certify those providers to assure lenders that as they expand their use of the BlitzDocs offering, they have a stable of technology and service providers that know how to fully maximize the efficiencies within the BlitzDocs solution.”

BlitzDocs Certified QC Providers use BlitzDocs-based technology (either Advectis BlitzDocs or GE’s Doc Central) as a key component in their quality control process. The company has been delivering our services via BlitzDocs solutions for a number of lenders for over a year. “We have been delivering our services via BlitzDocs for a number of lenders for over a year. We believe that image-based QC delivery is one of the technologies that will help the mortgage industry move toward the paperless mortgage,” said Ben Slayton, chief executive officer of Culver City, Calif.-based QC-MAC. “Our Lender customers are really excited about our joint solution which delivers real value to them in the form of less paper, no onsite travel, and no shipping costs.”

The BlitzDocs solution allows lenders to identify a pool of loans that require a QC audit and allows QC-MAC to access that file from a browser to deliver their service. The lender does not have to spend the hours or even days necessary to research the loans and fax documents to QC-MAC. Slayton explained that after lenders create the QC file they do not have to be involved in the day-to-day QC process.

“Each month a growing percent of our clients are switching to a paperless system,” Slayton said. “This is an exciting time in the industry, and we are working with Advectis because the company is ahead of the curve when it comes to mastering the use of paperless technology, therefore defining and delivering paperless technology to real customers. This relationship will help our clients achieve their objective of doing business more efficiently.”

According to Advectis, certifying providers for best practices and integration are additional steps toward bridging today’s paper-intensive processes with tomorrow’s e-mortgage by reducing costs, turnaround time and increasing overall process efficiencies for both brokers and lenders. To be certified as a BlitzDocs Certified QC Provider, a company must demonstrate a proficiency in performing due diligence/QC services on image-based loan folders made available to them via access to the BlitzDocs solution by Advectis customers, complete a BlitzDocs certification training course and test, be a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and demonstrate a core competency in underwriting, delivery of QC services, or due diligence services.
