For nearly a decade, Xerox Mortgage Services has been helping mortgage companies convert the paper-intensive processes associated with mortgage origination, underwriting, post-closing and investor delivery to an electronic process.

How It Works

The first step is for an originator to submit documents by uploading them into BlitzDocs with an ordinary fax machine, scanner or web browser. These documents are saved in a collaborative electronic loan folder™ (“eFolder”) that mirrors the traditional paper folder of submission package and closed loan package. Then, BlitzDocs users organize, deliver, underwrite, audit, archive and share submission packages and closed loan documents using the eFolder.

Using a web browser, originators, lenders, investors and other authorized parties are able to securely view the electronic loan folder, including mortgage documents and underwriting status in real-time. More importantly, they can easily and intelligently collaborate to speed up the loan processing cycle and improve service. Lenders immediately benefit from reduced costs and better visibility into current status.

Security Model

BlitzDocs’ configurable multi-tier security user model defines accessibility and ensures documents are viewed securely and only by pre-determined parties. Security can be set by various models, including the

  • Role of each user, based on the function they perform
  • Rights of each user, based on the IT security level they possess
  • Workflow/usage, based on specific documents

Throughout the process, BlitzDocs XE provides organizations the necessary functionality to electronically sign, store, access and manage the lifecycle of legally binding records while meeting the technical and legal requirements of transactions governed by ESIGN, UETA, Revised Article 9 of the UCC, SPeRS and GPEA. eSigned files are electronically placed into a secure eVault where they are archived and stored.
